Your store on WordPress with WooCommerce.
We build your WooCommerce store on hosting you own: products uploaded, payment gateways connected and shipping configured. From day one, we tell you what technical care it needs and who will handle it.
What a "free" store really asks of you
WooCommerce is a free, open-source plugin for WordPress. There is no platform subscription, and that is a big part of its appeal. But the store has to run somewhere: you need hosting you pay for, a domain, and sometimes paid extensions for specific features. The savings are real, but only if you add up the whole bill before choosing.
The cost owners forget is upkeep. WordPress, WooCommerce, your theme and each plugin ship updates often. Skip them and the store becomes an easy target: most security issues reported in WordPress live in plugins, not in WordPress itself. Apply them carelessly and an update can break checkout on a Friday night. WordPress's own documentation recommends having backups in place before you turn on automatic updates.
Hosting matters more for a store than for a brochure site. Searches, carts, payments and order emails all happen at once, and cheap shared hosting can slow down exactly when holiday traffic arrives. Since you choose and pay for the host, pick it for the store you plan to run, not just for the lowest price.
Payments are flexible but need care. WooPayments, WooCommerce's own processor, is available to US-based merchants. Official plugins from Stripe and PayPal are also common, and PayPal's plugin can show Venmo and Pay Later to eligible US buyers. Each gateway is another plugin with its own account, fees and updates.
WooCommerce makes sense when you already have a WordPress site with content that works, when you want full control of your data and server, or when you need custom behavior a closed platform will not allow. If you never want to think about servers or updates, a hosted platform like Shopify is usually simpler.
What your WooCommerce store needs
Hosting that can handle a store
We help you choose and sign up for a host that runs WordPress and WooCommerce well, with SSL and backups, plus your domain if you do not have one yet. Everything is in your name, so the store and its data stay yours.
A payment gateway tested end to end
Essential sets up card payments. Growth and Advanced add the additional methods your gateway supports, such as digital wallets or PayPal, tested with real orders before launch.
Shipping without retyping addresses
Essential uses one shipping rate and Growth sets rates by zone. Advanced adds automatic shipping labels, so each order produces its label instead of being keyed in by hand.
Few plugins, all maintained
Every plugin is someone else's code that needs updates. We use only what the store needs, from developers who keep their plugins current, and give you a list of what each one does.
Orders that turn into repeat customers
From Growth: discount codes, order and abandoned cart emails, customers in your CRM with tags, sales analytics and the Meta pixel.
Training and a plan for after launch
You get recorded training and 15, 30 or 60 days of support depending on the package. After that, you can run updates yourself or add an optional monthly maintenance plan with backups and security updates.
A sample store layout
WooCommerce adds a store inside WordPress, so it can live next to the pages you already have. This is a starting point for a small or mid-size catalog.
Shop
All products with category filters and search, easy to use on a phone.
Category pages
One page per product family, with a short description that helps it show up in search.

Photos, variants, stock status, price and delivery time.
Cart and checkout
Card payments and, from Growth, the extra methods your gateway supports.
Shipping, returns and sales tax
Rates by zone, delivery times, how to request a return and how tax shows at checkout.
Contact
A short form for questions before buying.
The package we recommend.
Recommended package: Online store Growth
Growth gives you more ways to pay, rates by shipping zone, discount codes, abandoned cart emails and customers in your CRM. Its 30 days of support cover your first month of real orders, which is when most adjustments show up. If your catalog is large or you ship a lot, Advanced adds automatic labels and room for 300 products.

What WooCommerce requires and what we don't cover
- Hosting, your domain, paid extensions and payment processing fees are paid by you directly to each provider. They are not part of the package.
- When the included support ends, updates, backups and security checks are yours. The maintenance plan is optional and monthly; without it or someone in-house, the risk of problems grows over time.
- Sales tax setup follows what you and your accountant decide. Free tools can calculate tax at checkout, but registering in states and filing returns stay with you.
- If you install plugins on your own after launch, check that they support your WooCommerce version. One poorly maintained plugin can break checkout for the whole store.
- Connecting your accounting system, inventory or ERP, or selling on marketplaces like Amazon are advanced integrations, quoted separately. Markelop is not a WooCommerce or payment gateway partner, and each gateway approves your account on its own terms.
