Why it matters

Why consistent social media matters for agents

Real estate runs on trust and referrals. When someone hears your name from a friend, they often look you up before they call. An active profile shows you are working, which neighborhoods you know and how you handle a sale. A feed that went quiet months ago leaves them guessing.

Posting on a regular rhythm lets you show more than just new listings. You can walk buyers through the process, help sellers get ready, and highlight the parts of town you know well. That kind of content keeps you top of mind between transactions, when people are not actively shopping.

Most agents know this already. The problem is time. Between showings, inspections and closings, social media slides to the bottom of the list. A planned, scheduled month keeps your profile steady while you focus on clients.

Good to know

Fair housing, brokerage rules and listing details

Real estate marketing in the US is covered by fair housing rules, so posts should describe the property and its features, not the kind of person who should buy or rent it. We write with non-discriminatory language and keep neighborhood content focused on places and amenities. You confirm every price, status and detail before anything goes live, and you remain responsible for brokerage requirements, license disclosures and MLS rules, including photo usage.
Markelop handles organic content on your profiles. We do not run paid ads, post to listing sites or reply to inquiries in your inbox. Because the calendar is scheduled ahead of time, let us know when a listing goes under contract or comes off the market. This is general guidance, not legal advice; check with your broker or attorney for specifics.
FAQ

Before you start.

Do you post my listings to listing sites, the MLS or paid ads?
No. We manage organic content on your social profiles only. Listing sites, the MLS and paid advertising stay with you or your brokerage.
Who is responsible for fair housing and brokerage compliance?
We write with non-discriminatory language, but you and your brokerage are responsible for compliance. You review and approve each month's content, and you should flag any disclosures your brokerage requires.
Will you reply to leads who message me?
No. Posts invite people to reach out, but you or your team handle direct messages and comments.
Do you shoot listing photos or video tours?
No. We work with photos you provide and have the right to use, and video and reels are not included. We turn that material into posts, carousels and stories.
