Why it matters

Why consistent social media matters for a dental office

Plenty of people feel nervous about the dentist, and not knowing what to expect doesn't help. An active page with friendly faces and clear information can make that first visit feel less like a leap: who they'll meet, what the office looks like, and how to book.

Good dental social media isn't about hard-sell specials or picture-perfect smiles. It works better as a habit: explaining treatments in plain English, sharing general oral health tips, introducing your hygienists and front desk, and keeping hours and contact info up to date. That steady rhythm signals an organized, welcoming office without promising results.

Between patients, lab cases and insurance paperwork, posting every week usually ends up at the bottom of the list. Markelop handles the writing, design and scheduling. Your office sends the information, reviews the content and approves it.

The plan that usually fits

Consistency · USD 497 per month

A dental office has plenty to talk about week to week, and Consistency gives you a steady weekly rhythm on Facebook and Instagram, with carousels to walk patients through treatments step by step. If your office is just getting started on social, Presence can be a good first step.

Good to know

Patient privacy and dental advertising rules

HIPAA covers patient information, including photos of smiles and treatment results. We never post patient images, names, testimonials or before-and-after photos unless your office has a signed, written authorization from the patient and confirms it to us, and for minors that authorization comes from a parent or guardian. Since replying to reviews, comments and messages isn't part of the service, your team handles those, and it's smart to avoid confirming in a public reply that someone is your patient.
Dental advertising may also be governed by your state dental board, including how you describe credentials, specialties and offers, as well as federal truth-in-advertising standards. We keep the tone general and educational and avoid promising outcomes, but this isn't legal advice: your office approves every post and is responsible for the claims it makes.
FAQ

Before you start.

Can you share patient smiles or before-and-after photos?
Only when your office has a signed, written authorization from the patient and confirms the post meets the rules that apply to you. Without that, we don't post them.
Do you respond to reviews or DMs?
No. Replying to messages, moderating comments and managing reviews aren't included. Your posts will always point patients to the right way to call or book.
Can you promote specials like a new-patient exam offer?
Yes, as long as your office confirms the details and terms in writing and makes sure the offer follows the advertising rules that apply to you. We don't set pricing or terms.
Will social media fill my schedule?
We can't promise that, and no honest provider can. What you get is a steady, accurate presence that makes it easier for people to find your office and feel comfortable booking.
