How to choose the right size
Decide where a piece will be published before you design it. An image made for stories (9:16) doesn’t work in the feed, and a landscape image wastes space on mobile.
- For Instagram and Facebook feeds, a 4:5 portrait usually makes the best use of the screen.
- For stories and reels, use 9:16 and leave margins at the top and bottom.
- For link sharing (including WhatsApp), prepare a 1200 × 630 px image.
