Why it matters

Why consistent social media matters for a medical practice

When someone is looking for a new primary care doctor or a specialist nearby, your Facebook and Instagram pages are an easy place for them to check whether you're open, what you treat, and how to book. A page that hasn't been updated in months raises questions, even when the care behind it is excellent.

For a practice, consistency isn't about flashy promotions. It's about plain-language explanations of your services, friendly introductions to your providers and staff, answers to the questions your front desk hears every day, and current info on hours, locations and scheduling. That kind of content can help patients show up better prepared and cut down on repeat phone calls.

Most physicians and office managers don't have time to plan, write and design posts every month. Markelop takes that off your plate. You send the information and approve the content, and your practice signs off on anything that touches a medical claim.

Multichannel · USD 997 per month

Practices with several providers or specialties tend to have more to share, and LinkedIn can be a natural place to connect with referring physicians, local employers and community partners. Multichannel covers Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, plus an initial review of basic info and monthly posts on one eligible Google Business Profile; a smaller solo practice may be well served by Consistency.

Good to know

Patient privacy and advertising rules

HIPAA protects patient information, and that includes photos and stories. We never post patient names, images or anything that could identify a patient unless your practice has a signed, written authorization from that patient and confirms it to us. The same applies to before-and-after images and patient testimonials. Because our service doesn't include replying to messages or comments, your team handles those conversations, and it's wise to avoid confirming in a public reply that someone is your patient.
Health care advertising may also be subject to state medical board rules and federal truth-in-advertising standards. We write in a general, educational tone and avoid promising outcomes, but this isn't legal advice: your practice approves every post and is responsible for the claims it makes. When a topic feels sensitive, check with your compliance officer or attorney before it's scheduled.
FAQ

Before you start.

Who approves posts that mention health topics?
Your practice does. We share the month's content for one consolidated round of edits, and nothing with a medical claim is scheduled without your sign-off. Your practice remains responsible for those claims.
Can you post patient photos, testimonials or before-and-after images?
Only when your practice has a signed, written authorization from the patient and confirms the post meets the rules that apply to you. Without that, we don't post them.
Do you answer DMs or book appointments for us?
No. Replying to messages, moderating comments and managing reviews aren't included. Every post can point patients to your phone number or online scheduling so they know how to book.
Will this bring in new patients?
We can't promise that, and no honest provider can. What you get is a steady, accurate presence that makes it easier for people to find your practice and understand what you offer.
